Detox Menu #1

I recommend this detox on a Sunday, or day off work. That way you will be sure to have everything you need, and as you are drinking a lot of water, you will want to be able to be close to the restroom - often. :-) It'll also be good to relax as well throughout the day. Detoxing can sometimes make you a little more tired than usual.

Friday Dinner
Brown rice cooked in low sodium broth. Steamed vegetables of your choice seasoned w/ Bragg's Amino Acids (like soy sauce, but healthier and tastier; only 150mg sodium compared with 850mg in soysauce!; can be found at any health food store)
Herbal Tea to drink (I like Rooibos), or water. No caffeine!

Saturday A.M.
Wake up and drink 1 tall glass of water w/ lemon juice.
Make a fruit salad w/ only fresh fruit (no cans or frozen). Nothing added.
I suggest: apples, oranges, grapes, grapefruit, pear, banana, and strawberries.
Make as much as you want.
Herbal Tea.

1 hour later: 1 tall glass water.
1 hour later: 1 tall glass water.

1 hour later: 1 raw carrot

1 hour later, tall glass water.
1 hour later, tall glass water.

1 hour later, same dinner from last night. (this should be around 2-3pm-ish)

1 hour later, tall glass water.
1 hour later, tall glass water.

1 hour later, fruit smoothie: whole orange, whole banana, flax seeds (found at health food store), fresh or frozen strawberries, ice (if fruit is not frozen), almond milk (found at health food store). Blend until smoothe.

1 hour later, herbal tea w/ lemon.

Start your Sunday morning with something healthy so as to transition easily. Oatmeal (Multigrain oatmeal from Trader Joe's is great) with soymilk or almond milk, dried fruit and nuts would be good.
